Perfect for summer, this frock is a snap to make - Ruth Wyeth Spears will tell you how! Note the  clever but simple jabot and the panel of crisp knife pleats in the skirt front.

You can start with or without a favorite pattern - just how clever do you feel? ;)  Just click on the image to make it larger and easier to read.

  1. Miss Fisher wears a blouse like this. I just linked a photo of her wearing it on my blog: http://calmundertension.com/blog.html under the "art of the 20's dress". I always thought this kind of a goofy, "look I'm wearing a napkin for fashion" type of look, but on her, it's so chic! I'm reconsidering.

    1. I agree, ~GG~. I look forward to your rendition of this jabot style, if you choose to undertake it. :)

  2. Wonderful article, I have one 1920 pattern that is has a lower missing skirt piece and like above comment I thought it look too plain. I think I will have a go on this one.
